I haven’t posted in a long time and I hope everyone had a great holidays and new year. As for me, I had a privilege to travel and one of the place I visited was Dakar, Senegal.
Dakar is one of the most beautiful place I’ve ever been with so much to do and see. Some of my favorite things were Goree Island, which has the house of slaves and I with its door of No Return museum and memorial to the Atlantic slave trade. I learned so much about the slave history than ever expect and also made me appreciate the freedom we have.
The 2nd favorite thing I loved about Dakar is the African Renaissance Monument which is the biggest monument I have seen (49 meters tall) and all in bronze statues, located on the top of one of the twin hills known as Collines Des Mamelles.
The 3rd favorite thing and maybe the most captive memory I have is their great music. Their music is diverse sonic and the rhythm of any mood or occasion with drums and keeps you on your feel dancing along.
I can say so much about Dakar but mostly the Loving and welcoming characters that Senegalese people have is incredible and you can’t help but fall in love with that place.
I thought I’d share some of the pictures taken there and the outfits of choice!
Stay Blessed, Biosu
