I was listening to a Pastor preach about how the creator (God) identifies himself to a Lion. The lion is known to be a leader and king of the animal kingdom, simply due to its attitude. That is so fascinating to me, how the lion which is not the strongest, tallest, largest nor the smartest is the leader. The lion has a leadership spirit and attitude.
This led me to compare the lion to us humans and how we don’t realize the gravity of our attitude.
Attitude: 1. product of belief, 2. a psychological construct, a mental and emotional entity that inheres in, or characterizes a person, 3. the way you feel about something or someone, or a particular feeling or opinion.
There is a quote that I love that says ” An army of sheep led by a lion will always deafest an army of lions led by a sheep”, This quote here I say it often to my friends when they are in ambiguity or feeling down and with low self esteem to let them see that with the right attitude one can turn a timid person into a fearless and bold. Boldness with the right attitude can turn a coward into a warrior. It takes a positive attitude to achieve positive result and believing that your attitude can bring you blessings and open doors and right people around you.
I’m a believer of positive attitude even when things are crumbling around me. We all have a story and have been through trials and I can a stand firm and say, I’ve gotten this far due to my attitude and the grace of God. I refuse to let my setbacks take over me, for I chose to count my blessings and my gains rather than my losses in life, which that give me automatic positive attitude and gratitude. There is power in our attitude because it determines our altitude.
Here is one of my ways to have daily positive attitude:
1.I write at least 10 things that I am grateful for. Example: I’m grateful for my life, I’ve survived a genocide, I was poisoned by a close person in my life yet God spared my life. I’m grateful for my job, there are many people without jobs yet God blessed me with one. I am grateful for family and friends that help me through it all and love me even when I’m not worthy of their love and support. I am grateful for daily protection, etc… these things help me have the attitude of gratitude and stay positive.
2. I trying to find something positive about a difficult situation. That helps me have a better attitude in time of hardship.
I hope this can help someone and always remember that your attitude can build you up or brake you down.
Stay blessed, Bisou 🙂
